#2 - open-back banjo

This banjo was built (slowly!) between the end of 2018 and early 2020, partly at the Instrument Making and Repair weekly evening class at South Thames College.

The neck and pot are both walnut, with a rosewood fretboard and an ebony veneer on the headstock. It has a Deering synthetic skin, guitar-style slot-head tuners, and nickel hardware.
