#6 stringed up and ready

Those last few steps in building a banjo always take about as long as the rest of the building process put together.

The initial cuts and rough shaping rush by with the banjo rapidly emerging, then by the end of the process there's days of waiting between each coat of oil, stretching the head, putting on the strings. Especially those last two steps - the skin needs to settle before putting on the strings, and the strings continue to stretch and settle for days after putting them on. But on banjo #6 the strings are now settled and it's ready for selling - up on the in-stock pages here, and on my etsy shop here. If you're interested, you can also get in touch here.
