Betwixt & BetweenBetwixt & Between Tapes is an occasional series of split cassette tape EPs exploring sympathetic resonances and complimentary contrasts across traditional, improvised, and drone / ambient musics.
Each tape in the series sees two artists working in these areas paired across the two sides: 15 minutes of music from each. The tapes are produced in a limited run, illustrated by a linocut image of a hybrid creature from folklore or mythology. The series began life as a means of imposing discipline on my own musical explorations, while making links with artists working in adjacent areas. It is now continuing as a curated series, drawing connections within and across these music scenes. |
